TKR Vs BR: Journey So Far In The Tournament

The Royals have been in sensational form and have won all three of their matches and will aim for a fourth consecutive victory. Their recent success against Antigua & Barbuda Falcons was marked by an excellent bowling effort from Keshav Maharaj, Jason Holder, and Naveen-ul-Haq, which helped restrict the Falcons to 176/5.

Despite an early loss of Rahkeem Cornwall, Quinton de Kock’s brisk knock, along with support from Powell and David Miller, ensured they were ahead on DLS when rain stopped play and later on won the match by 10 runs.

The Trinbago Knight Riders, on the other hand, have two wins and a loss from three matches. They bounced back from a close defeat to Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and defeated the St Lucia Kings in a thrilling chase, with an explosive knock from Kieron Pollard (52* off 19 balls). While their bowling unit struggled early on, Sunil Narine and Waqar Salamkheil brought them back into the game.

TKR Vs BR: Captain's Thoughts

Rovman Powell(Barbados Royals Captain): "We are going with the same team. I think this team is good to continue. I think our batting group is doing well. It is all about keeping to improve that 10-15%."

Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): "Obviously, we are going to field first. Haven't played here. Batting second will give us an opportunity to see how to go about it. Dew in the last few games. Our fielding has not been up to the mark, we want to fix that. Executing our skills with the ball in the death overs is something we want to work on. I am at a stage where I am enjoying cricket. They want to take me lightly and bring in part-timers, it works for me. No, we are going with the same team. No Bravo and no Russell still. When we go to Trinidad, games will come thick and fast. Hopefully, we will see them back there."
