The Entertainers Cricket League 2024 kicked-off on Friday, September 13 on a thrilling note at the IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi. The Haryanvi Hunters, led by social media influencer Elvish Yadav, overcame an Abhishek Malhan-led Bangalore Bashers team in a high-scoring cracker with two wickets and two balls to spare.

Chasing 179 runs in a 10-over game, Haryanvi Hunters opener Keshav Chaudhary unfurled the innings of the match with a six-laden 20-ball 58. Notably, after the proceedings, winning skipper Elvish Yadav shared a ‘friendly’ hug with his Bashers counterpart Abhishek Malhan to celebrate the festive occasion of the tournament’s curtain-raiser.

Elvish Yadav, Malhan shares ‘pleasantries’ after ECL cracker

Shortly after the Haryanvi Hunters tailenders hit the winning runs, the rest of their teammates stormed inside the boundary to celebrate their opening win of the ECL 2024 season. Captain and social media giant Elvish Yadav also celebrated the occasion, and even found time to share some ‘pleasantries’ with his Bangalore Bashers counterpart Abhishek Malhan.

Yadav sneaked up to Malhan from behind and gave the latter a festive hug as the two shared a friendly laugh after the high-scoring ECL 2024 opener.

As it turned out, Bangalore Bashers batted first and mounted 178-7 from their 10 overs. While captain Abhishek Malhan made just 17 at number three, Ankit Kumar thwarted Haryanvi Hunters attack with a sizzling 12-ball 39. Tanush Sethi top-scored in the innings by belting 74 runs from just 23 deliveries with four boundaries and nine sixes while Ketan Patel smacked 30 off nine balls at the death.

In response, Haryanvi Hunters chased down their colossal target with two wickets and two balls to spare. Elvish Yadav’s opening partner Keshav Chaudhary played starring role with the bat by scoring 58 runs from 20 balls with nine sixes. Anujj Chaudhary and Rajat Dalal both unfurled sizzling cameos in the middle overs before unbeaten wicketkeeper-batter Ribbhuu Mehra notched up the winning runs alongside number 10 Lakshay Kaushik.
