Pat Cummins and his ability to deliver in crunch situations is second to none. He is known to excel when his team is under the pump and it was once again on display in the Qualifier 1 against KKR. He scored important 30 runs when SRH were down and out, and then with the ball, got the big wicket of Sunil Narine to provide his team a glimmer of hope.

Narine departed in the seventh over and it was a short delivery on the off-stump line. Narine went for the pull shot but did not time it well and ended up hitting it straight to deep mid-wicket where Vijayakanth Viyaskanth took the catch comfortably. 

It delighted SRH fans assembled at the Narendra Modi Stadium and one of them was Komal Sharma, the sister of SRH batter Abhishek Sharma.

The wicket opened the gates for SRH to get back into the game, but Venkatesh Iyer did not show any mercy on SRH captain and blasted a massive six on the fifth delivery of the over. 

Earlier, SRH decided to bat first after winning the toss but lost four wickets in the Powerplay courtesy a brilliant spell by Mitchell Starc, and though they got to 159 in the end, it was below-par on a good batting deck at Ahmedabad.
