Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) sensation Travis Head had a tough day in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 qualifier against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium on Tuesday, May 21.

Head struggled with the bat, scoring 0 runs off 2 balls. His difficulties didn't end there; during KKR's innings, he dropped a crucial catch that could have shifted the momentum in SRH's favour.

The incident occurred in the 11th over when T Natarajan bowled to KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer. It was a back-of-a-length delivery angling away outside off.

Iyer played with an open-faced bat, and the ball flew straight to backward point, where Head dropped a sitter. This missed opportunity gave Iyer a lifeline, much to the dismay of the SRH team.

SRH had set a target of 160 for KKR to chase. At the time of the dropped catch, Shreyas Iyer was on 35 runs, and Venkatesh Iyer was on 45.

By the 13th over, KKR was cruising at 136 for 2, capitalizing on the reprieve provided by Head's dropped catch.
