The Indian Women's cricket team scripted history on Thursday night, defeating the mighty Australia in the second semifinal of the 2025 World Cup. Although Australia posted a massive total of 338 runs, India successfully chased the target, riding on Jemimah Rodrigues' valiant hundred and a scintillating half-century from captain Harmanpreet Kaur.

The second semifinal of the 2025 Women's World Cup saw records tumbling by players from both sides. As India enter the final and Australia mark their exit from the competition, here are all the milestones that were broken after the historic chase at DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.

341/5- India register highest successful chase in ODI World Cup knockouts

India chased a massive target of 339 runs to book their berth in the Women's World Cup final. This is the highest-ever successful run-chase in a knockout game across all men's and women's World Cup editions.

679 - 2nd highest match aggregate in Women's ODI

The semifinal encounter between India and Australia Women was a high-scoring thriller, with both sides clobbering 679 runs combined. This is the second-highest match aggregate in Women's ODI history. Interestingly, these two teams also claim the first position, having accumulated 781 runs combined in the Delhi ODI earlier this year.

India end Australia's longest unbeaten streak in World Cups

Australia had 15 consecutive wins, including six in the group stage of the 2025 edition, in Women's World Cups. So, India's memorable run chase put an end to their longest unbeaten streak in the tournament.

Jemimah Rodrigues records highest score in a successful chase vs Australia in Women's ODIs

Jemimah Rodrigues played a pivotal role in India's emphatic victory. The stylish batter remained unbeaten on 127, ensuring India went past the finish line comfortably. Her outstanding knock is now the highest individual score in a successful run chase against Australia in Women's ODI history.

Jemimah's 127* is also the second-highest score in run chases in Women's World Cup knockouts, while also being the fourth-highest score against the Aussies in the history of the marquee event.
