SRH’s batting lineup seems to have retained its penchant for destruction after stacking up a slew of records in IPL 2024. Kicking off their IPL 2025 campaign on Sunday, March 23, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, the rampaging ‘Orange Army’ mounted another huge total, plundering 286 runs for the loss of just six wickets against Rajasthan Royals.

Making his SRH debut, Ishan Kishan whacked 106 unbeaten runs from just 47 balls to top-score in the high-scoring innings after Travis Head blasted a scintillating 31-ball 67 at the top of the order. After their latest batting exhibition, here we take a look at five of the highest team totals recorded by SRH batters in IPL history.

SRH’s 286-6 against Rajasthan Royals on March 23 in IPL 2025 turned out to be only the second highest team total recorded by the ‘Orange Army’ in IPL history. Notably, three of SRH’s four biggest team totals occurred within a space of weeks, all during the IPL 2024 season last year.

As it happened, SRH openers Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head started off with a 45-ball opening stand in just three overs. After Abhishek’s early departure, Head blasted 67 from just 31 balls and shared another 85 runs with number three Ishan Kishan.

Kishan himself celebrated his SRH debut by recording his maiden IPL century, doing so in just 45 deliveries. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen also chipped in with swift 30s during the backend to provide the finishing touches to the innings.
