India, under Rohit Sharma's leadership, will head into the much-awaited Cricket World Cup 2023 without any practice from the warm-up fixtures as their game against the Netherlands has been abandoned at Thiruvananthapuram after the match versus England at Guwahati was also called off last week.

The rain gods haven't been much of a help to Team India, as all their matches in the buildup to the World Cup have been rain-affected. But the Men in Blue won't be rusty during the campaign opener against Australia in Chennai on Sunday, as they have just played the opposition thrice in the last fortnight.

The Netherlands, on the other hand, have had the same luck as India, as both of their warm-ups have also been cancelled due to bad weather. Notably, the Dutch side was outclassed by Karnataka's state team before the start of the warm-up tournament scheduled by the ICC.

Nevertheless, India will now head to Chennai to open their tournament against the Aussies; meanwhile, the Netherlands will play Pakistan in Hyderabad on Friday.
