India Women and Australia Women will be squaring off against each other one final time in the third ODI of the three-match series on Tuesday, January 3rd. The enthralling contest will take place at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai before the action moves to DY Patil Stadium for the three T20Is, starting later this week.

The Alyssa Healy-led side has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead and will look to make it a clean sweep in the third encounter. On the other side, the hosts will be desperate to come back into winning ways and finish the series on a positive note.

The Indian team had a poor day with the ball in the series opener, failing to defend a formidable score on the board and allowing the Aussie batters to kill the game very early.

Moreover, they could not seal the game by themselves when they were in control, as it was an epic choke with the bat in the second ODI, which paved the way to another series win for Australia in India.

Smriti Mandhana, who missed the first ODI, made her way back on the field in the last game but couldn't capitalize on her good start. Richa Ghosh, playing in a brand new position, played fine innings but fell four short of her maiden international hundred.

Jemimah Rodrigues also continued her excellent form, while skipper Harmanpreet Kaur failed once again to make a significant contribution with the bat. With the ball, Deepti Sharma has been the lone warrior for the women in blue. She will be hoping her fellow partners will come up with their best to make a difference in the final ODI.

The Australians continue to be at their dominant best, and really, no one comes close to them in the 50-over format. The reigning world champions sealed another ODI series in India and will be eyeing another 3-0 clean sweep.

It has been an all-round performance with both bat and ball, with every individual stepping up whenever the team needed. Phoebe Litchfield and Elysse Perry have been their star with the bat, having scored two consecutive half-centuries each.

Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Wareham and Ashleigh Gardner shone with the ball, keeping a check on the scoring rate and keeping the Indians on the backfoot with regular breakthroughs. Overall, it is a team in form, with hardly any weaknesses and hugely determined to make it three wins in a row.
