IND vs WI | Rain Threatens To Spoil India's Party; Start Of the Play Delayed Due To Heavy Rain

The day 5 of the second Test between India and West Indies was expected to be a cracking final day with India needing 8 wickets to win. West Indies also have a slim chance with 289 needed to win on the final day but all that has taken a backstage now, with our not-so-beloved friend, rain making its entry in Port of Spain. The famous Queen's Park Oval, the venue of the game has a good drainage system but it is raining cats and dogs at the moment and things are looking quite bleak.

The play was scheduled to start at 7 PM IST (9.30 AM Local Time), 30 minutes earlier than the original start time due to overs lost on day 3 and day 4 due to rain. India, on their part did everything they could do on day 4 to get a result out of this game. They first bundled out Windies in a matter of 54 minutes in the first session and then came out with positive intent to post a target of 365 in the final innings for the West Indies. Ashwin got two wickets as well in the final session and India are in with a great opportunity to win the second Test and grab those crucial WTC points.

It all depends on the rain though and at the moment, the first session is likely to be washed out completely. Also, the showers are predicted right throughout the day, so for all cricket fans out there, the news currently from Queen's Park Oval is quite heartbreaking.
