The festivities have begun in the Maxwell household, as Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and his wife Vini Raman held a traditional Indian-style baby shower ceremony. The couple, who married in March 2022, ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) are expecting their first child in September as revealed by Vini earlier.
Vini took to the social media platform Instagram to announce about baby shower ceremony. Maxwell's IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) congratulated the couple on its Twitter handle while sharing the wonderful news with their millions of fans.
Vini, an Indian-origin Australian born in Melbourne, tied the knot with Maxwell on March 18, 2022, as per Christian rituals, and then proceeded to a Tamil-style wedding ceremony on March 27.

RCB held a lavish reception to welcome the couple during the 2022 edition of the cash-rich IPL, which members of the squad attended.
The couple's first public appearance was in 2019 during the Australian Cricket Awards. However, Maxwell has been a constant feature in Vini's posts on Instagram since 2017.
Meanwhile, Maxwell was recently pulled out of 'The Hundred 2023' competition by Cricket Australia (CA) citing workload management, with the all-rounder's importance in the upcoming Cricket World Cup 2023 in India in September.
