India had to bat first for a change in the third ODI but captain Rohit Sharam failed to adjust to the new ball and lost his wicket on the second delivery he faced. However, Virat Kohli finally regained his form with a gritty half-century.

He looked in great touch and slammed some beautiful cover drivers before Adil Rashid forced him to a knick a faint edge. Regardless, Shubman Gill didn’t let India’s momentum shift. He hammered Gus Atkinson and Rashid to bring up a sublime century. He finished with a total of 112 off 102 balls, including 14 boundaries and 3 sixes.

Axar Patel cleaned up Joe Root by luring him into a drive. However, Root mistimed his shot and got an inside edge which crashed into the stumps.
