The IPL 2025 was touted to restart after a 10-days suspension with the RCB vs KKR match at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in IPL 2025. However, rain has played the spoilsport in this case. Rain has arrived and delayed the toss for the game. 

As we await the start of the match, let us take a look at the performance of Virat Kohli against KKR in rain affected matches. 

1. May 8, 2008 (IPL 2008) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata

The first rain-affected clash came in the inaugural IPL season on May 8, 2008, at Eden Gardens. Kolkata Knight Riders managed to win the game by five runs. KKR batted first in the match and posted 129/7 at the end of the allotted 16 overs. 

In reply, RCB batted fought hard led by half-century from Mark Boucher. However, the could just managed 124 runs and lost the game by a small margin of five runs. Virat Kohli did not bat in this game.

2. May 14, 2011 (IPL 2011) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

 A Duckworth-Lewis adjusted 13-over match saw Kohli contribute 15 runs off 15 balls at a strike rate of 93.75. While still finding his feet in the format, his supporting role helped RCB secure a 4-wicket victory with Chris Gayle dominating the headlines.

3. May 2, 2015 (IPL 2015) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore

Virat Kohli had transformed into a more aggressive batter by this time. In a contest reduced to just 10 overs per side, he scored a brisk 34 off 20 balls, showing remarkable intent from the outset. His improved ability to adapt to shortened formats helped RCB chase down KKR's target of 112 with relative ease.
