The start to RCB vs KKR match has been delayed because of heavy downpour at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The fans are praying for a match, but it is currently raining heavily in Bengaluru. While, RCB would have guaranteed a spot in the playoffs in case of a win, but a washed out game is not something they would favour.

Talking about Kolkata Knight Riders, they would certainly hope for a game because a abandoned game would result in the defending champions getting crashed out of the tournament. It is worth noting that KKR are placed 6th on the table with 11 points in 12 matches and with just one point, it would take their tally to 12 points in 13 matches.

The maximum KKR can reach will be 14 points and that won't be enough to see them qualify for the playoffs. 

RCB Qualification Scenario Explained

It is worth noting that in case of a washed out game, RCB will get a point and it will take their tally to 17 points in 12 matches and will sit on the top of the table. While, RCB will sit on top of the table, it won't guarantee a qualification to the playoffs as the Rajat Patidar-led side would still have to secure a win in their next two matches. Nonetheless, a point will still be crucial for the Challengers and with that they will put a foot in the playoffs.

However, the fans from both teams are optimistic regarding weather at Chinnaswamy as they have a great drainage system and it will take just 15 minute for the match to start once the rain stops in Bengaluru.
