The LSG bowler Akash Singh suffered a horrific injury in the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans. Shubman Gill hit a bowle straight back which was deflected of the bowler's right hand. This result in the immediate splitting of Akash's webbings and blood spilling out.

Notably, Akash Singh walked out of the field after this and Avesh Khan completed his over. It could be a big blow for the Super Giants in their defence of a handsome total of 235 runs in the game. 

But much to the relief of the LSG team, Akash Singh has taken the field and is also bowling. In fact, he has also picked up the important wicket of Jos Buttler after coming back onto the field. 

Akash was visibly uncomfortable due to the injury while in his run up. But apparently, it did not impact his effectivity as a bowler as is evident from the beautiful delivery he bowled to dismiss Buttler.

Gujarat Titans Aim To Solidify Their Spot At The Top Of The Table

The Gujarat Titans have been the most consistent team in the tournament. Their top order has carried them for most part of the tournament and before the start of the match, they were sitting pretty at the top of the table. 

Gujarat Titans will be aiming to win this game to stay within the top two in the points table. Notably, the top two teams in the point table get two chances to qualify for the final. To get that added cushion GT will be trying hard to win this game.
