Even before the IPL 2025 started, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi turned heads with his maiden IPL contract with RR.  After that, the young batter has dazzled fans with his fearless batting, delivering some sensational knocks that lit up the season.

As the Rajasthan Royals had a forgettable season, Suryavanshi still won fans’ hearts. After Bihar’s own son returned home, the young star was greeted with a hero’s welcome.

The Rajasthan Royals have gifted some best young talents to Indian cricket, and Vaibhav Suryavanshi is the newest addition to the list. Hailing from Bihar, the teen sensation grabbed headlines with his maiden IPL contract, and the real surprise came later, as he lit up the season with standout performances, even as RR struggled.

As the team made an early exit from the tournament, the newest sensation returned to his home in Tajpur, Bihar. Greeted like a hometown hero, he received a heartwarming welcome from proud family and the locals. Those scenes are capturing hearts.

From the cake-cutting ceremony to people standing with a ‘Welcome Back Home’ banner, the youngster couldn’t ask for a better welcome. From neighbors to his childhood friend and even family members gathered in large numbers to welcome their young hero.

A Debut Season To Remember

After waiting for the first few matches, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his IPL debut against the Lucknow Super Giants. Smashing a stunning six in his first-ever ball, he played an impressive knock of 34 runs on his debut match. But the season had more to offer to the young batter.

In his second match, the 14-year-old young gun smashed his first-ever IPL ton. While dominating the GT bowlers, he played an unbeaten knock of 101 runs in just 38 deliveries and became the youngest ever IPL centurion. In 7 matches, he scored 252 runs with a strike rate of 206.55.

England Calling For Suryavanshi

After having a stellar debut season in IPL, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is set to travel for the upcoming Under-19 tour, marking another glorious chapter of his career. The tour includes a warm-up match, five ODIs, and two multi-day games. As CSK star Ayush Mhatre is set to lead the team, fans are waiting for some unmissable actions.
