South Africa rebuild after early collapse
Earlier, Zimbabwe made a strong start after losing the toss, with Chivanga striking thrice to remove de Zorzi (0), Breetzke (13), and Bedingham (0), while Muzarabani chipped in with a tight spell and a crucial wicket. Wiaan Mulder (17) was run out to compound the visitors’ early problems.
At the time of writing, South Africa had reached 167/5 in 38.5 overs, with Pretorius and Kyle Verreynne at the crease. While the visitors will aim to build on the recovery in the final session, Zimbabwe will hope to strike early and regain control.
