It was an innings of redemption for the SunRisers Hyderabad's (SRH) English recruit Harry Brook who came to his best at the Eden Gardens when he launched an attack on the opposition with his fierce striking.

Sent in to open alongside Mayank Agarwal, Brook was aggressive right from the start as he made the most of opportunity with his power hitting abilities.

Both Agarwal and Rahul Tripathi were sent back to pavilion for 9 by Andre Russell, who later got injured after attaining a cramp.

However, the caravan never stopped as the skipper Aiden Markram took the bowlers to cleaners with as many as five maximums in his half-century knock but was dismissed too.

On the other end, The Brook show never stopped as the 24-year old was showing no mercy to the bowlers especially Lockie Ferguson who received a hammering with 37 runs in two overs.

Abhishek Sharma joined the party and did his job pretty decently as he faced 17 balls for 32 runs to take the score over 200 inside 19 overs.

Heinrich Klassen came in played a 16 run cameo but what really grabbed the headline was the sensational knock from Harry who faced 55 deliveries for his outstanding 100 not out where he struck three sixes and 12 fours to help his side finish the innings on 228 for the loss of four wickets.

Russell from the bowling side delivered 2.1 overs before his injury to pick three wickets for 22 runs.
