Salil Arora, Prabhsimran Singh Steers Stallions To 204 Runs Winning Total

Trident Stallions won the toss and opted to bat first at the IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Despite losing opener Abhay Choudhary in the powerplay, skipper Prasbhsimran Singh and Aditya Pratap put up 47 runs partnership. Right after the captain got his half-century, Salil Arora changed the course of the game with a sensational knock.

He arrived at the crease in the 8th over and played an unbeaten knock of 78 runs off just 33 deliveries. Ramandeep Singh supported him with a 22 runs finishing knock as Stallions finished with a 204 runs tota in the first innings.

For BLV Blasters, Aryan Mehra was trashed by Salil as he allowed 63 runs in his 4 overs, with Aaradhya Shukla and Manav Vashisht also leaking over 10 runs per over. While Stallions thought they had a tight grip over the game, Blasters proved why they are the defending champions.

Harpreet Brar’s Final Over Heroics Leads BLV Blasters To Second Sher-e-Punjab Title

BLV Blasters started the chase well with over 40 runs in the power play. However, Taranveer Singh and captain Naman Dhir’s dismissals in quick succession accumulated pressure.

That being said, with the chips down, Harnoor Singh and Anmol Malhotra stormed with a 100-run partnership for the third wicket. Harnoor scored 83 off 52 deliveries, including four boundaries and six maximums.

On the other hand, Anmol also got a half-century with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Yet, the duo lost wickets at crucial stages, leaving Harpreet Brar to chase 12 off the final over. However, Harpreet showed utmost composure to slam a couple of sixes and wrap things up with 2 balls to spare.

With the heroic finish, BLV Blasters successfully defended their Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup title.
