Harmanpreet walked into the match with 945 runs and wasted no time in crossing the 1000-run mark. Her unbeaten 71 off 43 balls was a captain’s knock, filled with clean strokes and calm decision-making, as she guided Mumbai Indians through a demanding chase.
With this innings, Harmanpreet now has 1016 runs in her WPL career from just 29 innings for Mumbai Indians. She averages an impressive 46.18 and strikes at 146.18, numbers that underline her match-winning impact, including ten half-centuries, the most by any batter in WPL history.
The Indian star also moved to second place on the all-time WPL run-scorers list, only behind her Mumbai Indians teammate Nat Sciver-Brunt. The partnership between experience and power continues to be a major reason behind the success for the defending champions this season.
