Pakistan won the first ODI, and South Africa responded with an emphatic win in the second game as the series decider now takes place at Faisalabad. The hosts won a relatively one-sided battle in the first ODI to take the lead before Quinton de Kock smashed a brilliant century to steer South Africa to a series-levelling win.
Pakistan was expected to give the knockout blow in the second ODI, but the Proteas side showed their class as the home team now finds themselves in a must-win situation to end the tour on a high. The Pakistan batting disappointed on Thursday as Nandre Burger ran riot, and the Men in Green will hope for an improved show.

South Africa won the toss and on a wicket that might get slow as the game progresses, they decided to bat first and put runs on the board. Rubin Hermann is making his ODI debut for South Africa.
For Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Wasim Jr are rested; while Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed make their return. Rauf was suspended by the ICC for two games due to his inappropriate gesture during the Asia Cup.
