Sanju Samson announced his way into the Indian T20I setup with a brisk 37 off 22 in the 5th and final T20I against South Africa on December 19. Samson, who was named in the squad for the series, was benched for all the previous affairs but got a chance after Shubman Gill was ruled out due to an injury during the third match.
