The Dhurandhar fever has gripped the Indian fans as well as the cricket players. After Bangladesh U19 team grooved with the signature dance moves from the Ranveer Singh starrer,  Ishan Kishan, who led Jharkhand to a SMAT 2025 Final win, recreated the steps during the trophy celebrations.

The iconic steps were performed by Akshaye Khanna, the Bollywood veteran actor who went viral for his trendy steps on the song Fa9la in recently-released bollywood fim, Dhurandhar. The catchy tunes and goofy vibe transcended to Ishan Kishan as he later opened up on recreating the move.

After the post-match presentations, Ishan Kishan was seen enjoying the spotlight as he shook his shoulders upon encouragement from his teammates to dance like Rehman Dakait’s character from the 400 crore+ blockbuster.

On the sidelines, Kishan shared how and why he took pleasure in grooving to the steps before lifting the SMAT 2025 trophy with his teammates.

“We all watched this movie Dhurandhar and you know there’s a special step going on. So these guys just asked me to come and do that particular step. And at that point in time, I was really emotional. Like, yeah, we have finally done it. And what was required, we were the best team in the tournament. And so that is something which encourages you a lot. I just came to lift the trophy by doing that step and everyone was happy,” said Kishan.

With emotions flying high, Kishan lifted the trophy with his teammates and continued celebrating while imitating the viral dance moves.

Notably, Kishan played a blitzkrieg knock to post a 45-ball century for his team, Jharkhand. This helped the team put 262 on board as Haryana faltered with their 193 to get wrapped up inside 19 overs.
