Paul Stirling is currently leading Ireland against West Indies in the ODI series, and has been a pillar of their batting line-up for more than a decade. Now, in the first ODI, he has crossed 10000 runs in international cricket, becoming the first-ever Ireland cricketer to achieve the feat.

Paul Stirling Slams Fifty Against West Indies In 1st ODI

The right-handed opening batter reached the landmark when he completed his 37th run in the first ODI against West Indies. He also became the 97th cricketer in the history of the game to reach the milestone of 10000 international runs. Paul Stirling eventually departed on 54 and it was his 57th international fifty.

The second in the list for most runs for Ireland is Andrew Balbirnie who is opening the innings alongside Stirling against West Indies. Kevin O'Brien who is known for his stunning century against England in the 2011 World Cup is third in the list while another Irish legend, William Porterfield is fourth in the list with 5480 runs.

The youngster, Harry Tector who is considered as the future of Irish cricket is fifth in the list of the leading run-scorers for his country in international cricket.
