Fakhar Zaman knows how to deliver when the heat is on. And in PSL 2025’s Match 4 against Quetta Gladiators, he did just that by bringing up yet another solid knock and joining elite company along the way.

Fakhar Zaman Moves To Joint Second On PSL Fifties List

Lahore Qalandars opener notched up his 20th half-century in the PSL and in the process, pulled level with Mohammad Rizwan for the second-most fifties in tournament history.

Taking guard after the early wicket of Mohammad Naeem, who was cleaned up by Abrar Ahmed for just 10, Fakhar knew he had a job to do. And he didn’t disappoint. Instead of going hammer and tongs straightaway, he played smart. Waited for the bad balls. Put away the freebies. Built his innings like a seasoned pro.

Teaming up with Abdullah Shafique first and then Daryl Mitchell, Fakhar milked the Quetta bowlers all over the park. A flick here, a crunching cut there, he was in the zone. When he raised his bat for the 20th time in a PSL innings past 50, the dugout was up on its feet. And so were the fans in Pindi.

With this fifty, Fakhar Zaman now shares the second spot with Mohammad Rizwan in the all-time PSL fifties list. Both sit on 20. The only man ahead of them? The ever-consistent Babar Azam, who leads the pack with a whopping 33 fifties.

Here’s a look at batters with most fifties in IPL.

Lahore Posts A Mountain Of Runs

While Fakhar’s fifty was the highlight, it wasn’t a one-man show. The Qalandars went full throttle, finishing with a mammoth 219/6. Abdullah Shafique’s 37 off 21 gave the early push and Daryl Mitchell’s unbeaten 37 kept the tempo going. Sam Billings then applied the finishing touches with a quickfire 50*.
