'Emotions Turned Quite Quickly...' Aiden Markram On SRH's last-ball win over RR

SunRisers Hyderabad captain Aiden Markram summed up his sides' brilliant win over the Rajasthan Royals on Sunday night brilliantly as he admitted that "emotions turned pretty quickly* in both camps on a wild night in Jaipur.

In a matter of two seconds, the emotions flipped 180 degrees in both camps as the dreaded no-ball alarm proved to be a kiss of death for the Rajasthan Royals.

Needing 5 off the final delivery, Sandeep Sharma had Abdul Samad caught in the deep, but it eventually didn't matter as he had overstepped.

Samad then finished it off in style to give a much-needed win.

That Samad was in a position to get 4 off the last ball was because of brilliant contributions from Abhishek Sharma, and Rahul Tripathi at the top, and handy cameos from Glenn Phillips and Heinrich Klaasen.

And, Markram acknowledged that in the post-match presentation.

"Emotions turned quite quickly, nice for us to get over the line. Chasing 215 isn't easy, and guys contributed all along to chase a big target. We knew in a quick outfield like this we'll score more than expected, but we had to be aggressive. Abhishek started up off, and then Tripathi gave him company. Then those cameos from Phillips and Klaasy."

Reacting to Abdul Samad finally delivering in the finisher's role, Markram said:

"I think you got to train it, and put yourself under pressure. You are playing high risk cricket, so that's where technique comes in."

Thanks to this last-ball win, SRH have moved to the 9th spot. They will next face the Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) on May 13.
