India A and Pakistan A will come against each other in the Final of the ACC Men's Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023 on Sunday, July 23, at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Both the teams have won the tournament only once in the past and have a golden opportunity to get their hands on their second title this time.

India A

India A must be happy with the way they have played in this tournament so far. They were unbeaten throughout the group stage and qualified for the semifinal as the top team from their group. 

They further defeated a strong Bangladesh A side in a hard-fought semi-final match to get through to their third final in the tournament's history. 

The boys in blue struggled with the bat for the very first time in the tournament in the last game, while the bowlers made a fantastic fight back and ensured the team got over the line. Skipper Yash Dhull will hope his batters do not repeat the same and have a better day in the final.

Noticeably, India A got the better of Pakistan A earlier in this tournament during the group stage. They will be looking to continue the same against their arch-rivals and lift their second title in history.

On the other hand, riding on the back of an all-round performance, Pakistan A defeated hosts Sri Lanka A to get their ticket to the final for the second consecutive edition.

The defending champions had a dominating day with the bat, scoring above 300, while the bowlers finished things off with Arshad Iqbal doing significant damage with a five-wicket haul.

Pakistan A had a difficult time against India A in their last meeting during the group stage. Mohammad Haris and his boys will hope to make things equal and knock down their biggest counterpart to get their hands on the trophy once again.

The team winning the toss should bat first, as chasing won't be a cakewalk, considering the pitch will deteriorate as the game progresses. The par score should be around 220-230 on this surface.
