In the ongoing IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, the Capitals are in deep trouble as the visitors have lost three early wickets while chasing a target of 181 runs. Notably, Mumbai had the chance to take the forth wicket within the powerplay as well but Rohit Sharma dropped a dolly.

Notably, on the last ball of the 6th over, Vipraj Nigam looked to hit Mitchell Santner but found the thick outside edge that travelled straight towards Rohit Sharma, who dropped a sitter and gave a lifeline to Vipraj Nigam. 



Rohit Sharma Having A Day To Forget

Rohit Sharma is a great catcher and rarely it happens that the hitman drops a catch. However, the right-hand batter is having a day to forget as he failed to also perform with the bat. Notably, it is Rohit's first appearance since the inauguration  of 'Rohit Sharma Stand' at the Wankhede Stadium. 

Even with the bat, Rohit managed to score 5 (6) and hit just a solitary boundary. Following the dropped catch, Rohit was also subbed off the field as an impact sub and Karn Sharma was brought into the attack. However, the dropped catch didn't do much harm to Mumbai Indians as Vipraj Nigam returned to the pavilion with a low score of 20 (11), which featured three fours and a solitary six.
