In the ongoing CPL 2024 match between Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, the Kieron Pollard-led side, batting first, went all guns blazing and put 250/4 on the board, the third-highest total in CPL history.

Nicholas Pooran breathed fire as the southpaw missed out on a well-deserved century by just three runs. Nonetheless, he smashed his fastest fifty in CPL history that came in just 21 deliveries.

Pooran was well assisted by Keacy Carty, who scored 67 (34), which featured nine fours and two sixes.

However, things could have been different, and the Knight Riders could have been stopped for a much lower score had Odean Smith not had a disastrous night on the field.

Smith allows two lives to Keacy Carty

Smith had a night to forget, as he dropped two catches and to top that, he also made errors in the outfield that resulted in a misfield and boundaries.

Smith dropped Carty twice. The first error came off Anrich Nortje's bowling when the Proteas seamer tricked the batter with a slow delivery on the first ball of the 13th over, but Smith dropped a sitter.

An over later, Smith again hogged the headlines for his poor fielding as he dropped Keacy, standing at short third. It was again a simple catch that should have been taken.

Things did not end there for Smith as his slippery hands once again benefitted TKR as one of his misfields resulted in a boundary.

A Day To Forget With the Ball

Not just the bat, but Odean Smith also had a dismal day with the ball. He bowled three overs and gave away 35 runs without taking any wickets.
