After a major halt in play during the first over of the second innings, the match was reduced to 15 overs with the target being adjusted to 171. However, the duo of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad have acclimatised well to the conditions as they started the innings well by taking on the bowlers by bringing up the half-century for the team in just four overs.
Both the batters did well to read the situation and started to attack from the very beginning after the game started.
Conway struck four fours and one six whereas Gaikwad smashed three fours alongside a six when the side's score and their partnership reached fifty.
The first over yielded 10 runs while the second one went for 14, and then, the third and fourth were 11 and 17 run overs.
To the unversed, only three balls were bowled before the rain interrupted play as there were four runs on the board. This was after Gujarat Titans posted 214 with a magnificent effort from Sai Sudarshan who wreaked havoc with 96.
By the time this piece was published, CSK were 72 without loss with Conway batting on 44 and Gaikwad on the score of 25.
