India lifted their 9th Asia Cup title after securing a nail-biting win against Pakistan in the final  at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (September 28, 2025). Chasing the target, Tilak Varma rose to the occasion with a stunning unbeaten 69 from 53 balls, guiding India past the 147-run target and the 'Men in Blue' won the match by 5 wickets.

It is worth noting that this was the first time India and Pakistan met in the final of an Asia Cup, and the encounter did not disappoint. Despite a modest target, Pakistan kept the pressure on with disciplined bowling, but Varma stood tall, playing the innings of his life to see India home with the trophy. Abhishek, Tilak, and Kuldeep shine bright in awards list

India earned the prize money of USD 300,000 (approx ₹2.5 crore) for winning the Asia Cup 2025, and the runner-up, Pakistan, received 75,000 (approx ₹66.50 lakh).

Abhishek Sharma was awarded the Player of the Tournament for his remarkable form throughout the Asia Cup 2025. The star player made 314 runs in seven innings with an average of 44.85 and strike-rate of 200. Additionally, he also received a Haval H9 SUV and USD 15,000 (approximately ₹13.30 lakh).

Tilak Varma was rightly given the Player of the Match for his match-winning knock of an unbeaten 69 runs. He also bagged the Super Sixer of the Match.

Another vital award was given to Shivam Dube as the Gamechanger of the Match for his all-round contribution. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav was declared the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Asia Cup 2025, earning USD 15,000 (₹13.30 lakh). The ace spinner bagged 17 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 6.27.
