After warming the bench for most of IPL 2024 and playing just two matches for SRH, Washington Sundar finally got a go in IPL 2025 and he grabbed it with both hands. In Gujarat Titans' fourth game of the season, Washi walked in with a point to prove and he did just that in style.

Last year, SRH barely looked his way. Two matches, and that’s it. No rhythm, no confidence. But fast forward to Sunday in Hyderabad, and GT gave him the nod. 

Coming in at No. 4 after Jos Buttler fell for a duck, Washington Sundar walked out with the Titans at 16/2, chasing 153. The pressure was on, but the man was calm as ever and started attacking from ball one.

What followed was pure redemption, a 29-ball 49 packed with 5 fours and 2 sixes. No fuss, no fancy stuff, just clean hitting and smart cricket. Sundar wasn’t just swinging blindly, he was picking his spots, timing the ball like a dream and building the chase alongside Shubman Gill.
