The Hyderabad heat wasn’t just on the pitch, it followed Nitish Kumar Reddy right into the comment section. The Sunrisers Hyderabad batter, who scored a slow 31 off 34 balls, found himself at the receiving end of brutal trolling during the SRH vs GT clash on Sunday in Hyderabad.
Nitish Kumar Reddy Trolled For Slow Knock As Fans Compare Him To Kohli
Nitish Kumar Reddy walked in with SRH needing a rebuild, but his innings didn’t quite light up the stage. With the ball not coming on and boundaries drying up, Nitish tried to play anchor. But fans were having none of it.
Nitish’s knock had just 3 fours and no sixes. He struggled to up the ante and eventually holed out to Rashid Khan at deep mid-wicket, trying to go big off Sai Kishore on the first ball of the 16th over.
Twitter went berserk as fans trolled him for his slow batting. It didn’t stop there as memes poured in and comparisons with Virat Kohli’s classic slow starts kept popping up.
Here's a look at how fans reacted to Nitish Kumar Reddy's knock:

SRH vs GT Live Score
Meanwhile, at the time of writing this article, Sunrisers Hyderabad are 120/6 in 17 overs, after being put in to bat by GT skipper Shubman Gill. Mohammed Siraj and Sai Kishore have been brilliant with the ball, picking up two wickets each.
SRH will need a final flourish from the lower order to reach somewhere close to 150 but the early damage and slow middle overs might just cost them in the end.
As for Nitish Reddy, the youngster needs to bat with intent and up his strike rate in the middle. That’s the only way to silence the trolls.
