India and Australia are taking on each other in the fifth and final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Thing between the two teams are heating up as India have scripted a dramatic turn around on the second day of the match after being outplayed on Day 1.

Notably, India won the toss ahead of the game and opted to bat first. The decision did not go in their favour as the Australian bowlers dominated the proceedings on Day 1 and bundled out the visitors for just 185. 

The Australian team would have expected to take the game away from the Indian team with their batting in the first innings. But the Indian team was not ready to give up the game easily and it was clear after they gave the Aussies the first blow towards the end of day.

The momentum India gained on the first day, continued on day 2 as they picked up Labuschagne early. This was followed by the wickets of Sam Konstas and Travis Head in quick succession.

Just when it looked like India would dominate the proceedings completely, Steve Smith and debutant Beau Webster showed resistance. The partnership was frustrating the Indian team. It was at this stage that Rohit Sharma was seen walking out drinks on the field and giving some advice to Bumrah on captaincy.

The result of the advice was immediately seen on the field. Soon, Steve Smith was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna. The Indian team herding together and taking the fight to the Australian team was heartening for the fans to see.
