Virat Kohli is known for his wild and energetic celebrations on the field and is a lively character when playing a cricket match. Kohli is someone who doesn't shy away from expressing his emotions and he did the same during the Sydney Test match Vs Australia.
Towards the close end of the match, Bumrah was bowling the final ball of the day when Usman Khawaja, the batter on strike deliberately avoided facing him. This infuriated Bumrah who hd an argument with both Khawaja and Sam Konstas as the Aussie teenager also intervened and had a heated altercation with the Indian spearhead.
Bumrah, however, got his revenge as on the final ball of the day he dismissed Usman Khawaja and celebrated right in front of Konstas. Kohli, too, showed his raw emotions as he charged towards Bumrah with a wild celebration and mocked the Aussie batter as the entire Indian team joined the huddle to celebrate. He, however, risks another ICC fine as he once again was involved in an unnecessary celebration.
India end Day 1 at 185
India ended Day 1 at 185 as the batters once again surrendered in front of the Aussie bowlers. The Rohit Sharma-less side were bamboozled as the openers departed cheaply.
Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill had a grind in the middle as the duo weathered the early storm, but none of the two batters scored big as the Aussie ran through the middle-order with utmost ease.
Rishabh Pant provided a bit of resistance as he scored a gritty 40, and alongside Ravindra Jadeja's 26, made sure that India somehow reach a decent 185 and the bowlers have something to play with.
In reply, Australia lost Khawaja early in the innings as the hosts ended Day 1 at 9/1.
