Royal Challengers Bengaluru had a tough time controlling the run rate against Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of IPL 2025. However, Krunal Pandya bowled an economical spell, picking up three wickets and earning fans’ appreciation.

RCB took on KKR to open the IPL 2025 season. Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl first at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. However, Ajinkya Rahane unleashed his wrath, scoring 56 off 31 balls.

Rahane and Quinton de Kock knitted a 103-run partnership for the second wicket before Krunal Pandya pressed the brakes.

Krunal Pandya Wins Fans’ Heart With Impressive Spell Vs KKR

While RCB bowlers were being brutally attacked by KKR batters, Krunal Pandya turned out to be a game-changer bowler. He deceived the dangerous trio of Ajinkya Rahane, Venkatesh Iyer and Rinku Singh in his spin web to put RCB back in the game.

Moreover, while his peers were bowling expensive spells, Krunal leaked only 29 runs in his four-over spell and picked up 3 wickets with an economy of 7.20. Needless to say, RCB fans were over the moon to see Krunal’s form this season.

Bengaluru bought him for INR 5.75 crore in the mega auction and he is proving to be a vital asset for the team already.
