MI To Miss Hardik Pandya In Clash Vs CSK

Suryakumar Yadav will captain Mumbai Indians in their IPL 2025 opener against Chennai Super Kings, as Hardik Pandya serves a one-match suspension for slow over-rate offences. He violated the rule in the final match of IPL 2024 season.

However, his ban has carried forward to this year as Pandya will sit out of the first game of IPL season. Apart from Hardik, MI will also miss star bowler Jasprit Bumrah as he nurses a lower back injury at the BCCI Center of Excellence.
