Responding to Karnataka’s first-innings total of 313, Maharashtra began confidently as openers Prithvi Shaw and Arshin Kulkarni (34) stitched together 98-run opening partnership. Shaw struck 9 fours times during his 92-ball stay at the strike-rate of 77.17. His fluent innings ensured that Maharashtra got off to a strong start in their bid to take the lead.
