Meghalaya's Akash Choudhary attained a historic feat, as he smashed sixes on eight consecutive balls, registering the fastest-ever fifty in the history of First-Class cricket. He achieved the remarkable milestone in Meghalaya's ongoing Ranji Trophy clash against Arunachal Pradesh.

Meghalaya's Akash Choudhary came to bat at number eight and ensured a mammoth score for his side with a magnificent knock. He started his innings with a dot and a single before hammering eight consecutive sixes, eventually bringing up his fifty in just eleven balls. Thus, he not only became only the third batter after Ravi Shashtri and Gary Sobers to smash six maximums in an over but also recorded the fastest half century in First-Class cricket.
