The fifth and final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is fast moving away from India as Australia have started off on a positive note in their run-chase of 162. The fast start by Australians was courtesy some poor bowling from the pace-bowling duo of Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna, and India have beebn badly hurt by the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.

The Indian skipper for the fifth Test, Jasprit Bumrah suffered a back spasm in the first innings and since then Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were left to do heavy lifting. They did well in the first innings, but have started off with some very wayward delivery in the second outing and it has not gone well with the Indian fans.

India are defending a low total of 162 and they cannot give away free runs, something which fans and even on-air commentator Sunil Gavaskar was not happy with it. Gavaskar came up with some hard words during his commentary stint while the fans expressed frustration on social media, coming up with some hilarious memes and comments.

Fans Slam Poor Bowling By Siraj And Prasidh Krishna

An account with the name of Rahul Kumar posted the famous meme of Ravi Shastri where he said 'pitch ko nikalo Game se. Bhaad me gaya pitch.' He was referring to inaccurate bowling by Siraj and Prasidh Krishna which took the pitch out of equation.

A fan also mentioned that both of them will be bowling in tandem in IPL for GT, stating that the 2022 IPL champions seem doomed.

There are also calls for sacking selectors and both the bowlers and they need to bring out something special now if India want to pull off a win in the final Test. A loss would eliminate India from the WTC final race and Aussies would take on South Africa in the big finale at Lord's.
