The incident took place in the third over when India was chasing the massive total. Coming to bowl in that over, Ali Raza bowled a full-length delivery, and Mhatre attempted a drive.
But destiny took a heartbreaking turn for the Indian captain as the ball struck the top of his bat and ended up going straight towards the Pakistani captain, Farhan Yousaf, at mid-off. After securing the crucial scalp, the Pakistan bowler celebrated with great excitement.

In front of Sameer Minhas’ exceptional innings of 172 runs in 113 balls, they faltered, and Pakistan put on a massive total of 347 runs on the board. In reply, the Indian side had a nightmare. In front of Ali Raza’s fury, the Men in Blue couldn’t stitch a crucial partnership.
Ending their innings in mere 156 runs, they faced a horrific 191-run defeat. In the tournament, India Under-19 side enjoyed a dreamy outing, entering the final with an unbeaten streak.
