The 5-game T20I series between India and Australia will resume on Thursday, November 6. The 4th T20I will be held at the Carrara Oval, Gold Coast, Queensland, at 1:45 PM IST.

Australia

Australia will approach the fourth T20I with a mixed sense of focus and fatigue. Travis Head and Sean Abbott’s release weakens their lineup, but the form of Tim David and Marcus Stoinis remains encouraging.

David’s promotion up the order is proving fruitful, while captain Mitchell Marsh will look to lead from the front after a quiet outing in Hobart. The bowlers, however, struggled to contain India’s batting depth, with the absence of senior quicks noticeable.

India

India’s confident chase in Hobart must have boosted their momentum. Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Jitesh Sharma showcased India’s fearless approach, while Washington Sundar’s late surge was also a positive sign.

Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy impressed with their control and wicket-taking ability, complementing Bumrah’s leadership with the ball. With the series level at 1–1, Suryakumar Yadav’s men are unlikely to tinker with their winning XI. The focus will be on maintaining batting aggression and bowling discipline.

AUS vs IND Head-to-head overview

Australia have met India in 35 T20Is so far. While Australia won 12 games, India had an upper hand with 21 victories, as 2 games produced no result.

Carrara Oval, Gold Coast pitch report

The Carrara Oval promises a fair contest between bat and ball. Fast bowlers can expect early movement and good bounce, making the new ball phase crucial. As the innings progress, the surface tends to settle into a true batting wicket, rewarding timing and placement.

Spinners are likely to come into play during the middle overs, using the large boundaries to their advantage. A first-innings score in the range of 160-180 should be competitive on this balanced surface.
