Arjun Tendulkar decimated Karnataka’s top-order and middle-order in the Elite Group B match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season. Opening the bowling for Goa at the KSCA Navule Stadium in Shimoga on Day 1, the speedster dismissed Karnataka opener Nikin Jose for just three, before getting rid of wicketkeeper-batter Krishnan Shrijith for a five-ball duck.
After striking big with the new ball, Arjun Tendulkar also struck in one of his return spells later in the day to dismiss Karnataka’s well-set batter and SRH star Abhinav Manohar.

After picking up just two wickets in Goa’s opening match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy season earlier this month against Chandigarh at an expense of 100 runs in Porvorim, rising fast bowler Arjun Tendulkar started off his Karnataka fixture with a sizzling three-wicket haul on Day 1 of the match itself in Shimoga.
The 26-year-old got the new ball moving as he dismissed Karnataka opener Nikin Jose for just three and number three batter Krishnan Shrijith for a duck. The fast bowler also got a well-set Abhinav Manohar out caught by new ball partner Koushik in the 45th over of the day.
By the time of an extended Tea break, Arjun Tendulkar boasted impressive figures of 3-33 in his 12.2 overs for the Goa cricket team. His spell, coupled with two big breakthroughs from fellow fast bowler Vasuki Koushik helped Goa keep Karnataka down to 128-5 in 44.2 overs. Karnataka eventually recovered and reached 222-5 in 69 overs before bad lights halted play.
It is worth noting that the junior Tendulkar had shifted his domestic base from Mumbai to Goa after the 2021-22 domestic home season in India. He has previously played for Mumbai as well as for its junior teams during his earlier years.
