Sachin Tendulkar took to social media to wish his son Arjun Tendulkar on his birthday. Arjun, who represents Goa in domestic cricket, turned 26 on September 24.

Sachin Tendulkar feels proud for Arjun

Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian cricketer, shared a heartfelt message for his son on his birthday. Taking to his X account, Tendulkar wrote how fortunate they were to have Arjun as their son. The message also reflected Tendulkar’s pride and happiness for Arjun’s growth as an amazing human being.

“We are lucky to have you as our son. To watch you grow into the amazing human being that you are has been a joy. We are so proud of you. Happy birthday, Arjun!! May God bless you always.”

The master blaster has been more than a father to his son. He has worked as a mentor and followed Arjun’s development as a cricketer closely. Arjun Tendulkar, the left-handed bowler with decent batting skills, has played 17 first-class matches so far and taken 37 wickets. In List A cricket, he has claimed 25 wickets in 18 matches.

In the Indian Premiere league, he plays for Mumbai Indians (MI). Mumbai bought the young all-rounder for his base price of ₹20 lakh in 2021 and retained him for ₹30 lakh in 2022. In 2023, he played four IPL matches and grabbed three wickets. Next year, he also played one match in the league. The IPL also gave Arjun a chance to work under his father’s mentorship alongside other Mumbai youngsters.

Arjun recently got engaged to Saaniya Chandhok

Recently, Arjun Tendulkar was in the news for his engagement to Saaniya Chandok. Saaniya has started her own business in Mumbai after graduating in 2020 with a degree in Business Management from the London School of Economics. In 2022, she opened her pet spa salon, Mr Paws, in Mumbai, which offers skincare and grooming for the pets.
