Explosive keeper-batter Abhishek Porel played an impactful knock, as he slammed a blistering cameo for Delhi Capitals (DC) in their second group-stage match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Coming at number three, Porel hammered 34 runs off 18 balls, including four glorious boundaries. 

Porel's Finishing Six Reminds Fans Of MS Dhoni

While Porel smacked two fours and two sixes, his winning six off Wiaan Mulder grabbed the maximum limelight. The incident occurred during the 16th over of DC's innings when Porel was batting alongside Tristan Stubbs. 

The Capitals were already on the verge of an emphatic victory, and Stubbs's gorgeous boundaries further reduced the deficit for the home team. When they needed four runs to win, Abhishek Porel hit a massive six over the mid wicket, ensuring a comfortable victory for his side. 

From over the wicket, Mulder bowled a full-length delivery, inviting Porel for an aerial shot. The swashbuckling keeper-batter accepted the invitation gleefully, dispatching the ball into the stands for a massive hit. 

His exceptional well-timed shot reminded fans of former India and CSK captain MS Dhoni, who is famous for finishing matches with huge sixes. 

DC Move Up To 2nd In IPL 2025 Points Table

Riding on a blistering fifty by Faf du Plessis and quick-fire cameos from Porel and Tristan Stubbs, DC swatted aside SRH by seven wickets in today's IPL 2025 match. With this thumping victory, DC moved up to the second place in the IPL points table.
