The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi is fast making his name as a fearsome power-hitter. He smashed a 35-ball hundred in IPL 2025 for Rajasthan Royals and has continued that form on India U19 tour of England.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi Pulls Off His Characteristic Power-Hitting Masterclass

The boy from Bihar scored 48 and 45 in the initial two matches, and now in the third game, he has blasted 86 off just 31 balls. It was a typical Vaibhav Suryavanshi knock where he took apart the bowling line-up right from the onset.

The left-hander, who is known for his ability to tonk the ball into the stands, hit six fours and nine sixes in his knock. He started with two fours against James Minto in the second over of the innings, and then followed it up with two consecutive sixes against Sebastian Morgan in the next over.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi lost his opening partner and captain, Abhigyan Kundu, in the fourth over, but he was in no mood to back away, and kept playing his shots. The batter got to his fifty in just 20 balls with a six against James Minto.

14-Year-Old Puts India In Driver's Seat During Tricky Run-Chase

It looked like he was on a mission to break his own record of a 35-ball hundred, but eventually fell on the final ball of the 8th over off the bowling of Alexander Wade. The 14-year-old missed out on a well-deserved century, but his heroic knock has put India in a strong position.

It is a 40-over-per-side encounter with rain delaying the start of the match earlier in the day. India, who are without their regular skipper, Ayush Mhatre, won the toss and decided to field. England openers, though, batted well and then ended up scoring 268 in their 40 overs, with captain Thomas Rew top-scoring again with 76 off 44 balls.

Now, in the second half, this kickstart from Vaibhav Suryavanshi has put India ahead of the game, and they now need their middle-order batters to bat senisbly. The series is levelled at 1-1, and a win in this match will bring India U19 boys back on track after losing the previous game.
