Marnus Labuschagne hammered yet another century, his fifth in eight innings since the start of the ongoing Australian domestic season. Eager to force his way back into Australia’s fold after recent Test and ODI snubs, the elegant right-hander cracked a match-winning 101 from 111 balls with six boundaries and a six against New South Wales bowlers in match 13 of the One-Day Cup 2025 season.
Moreover, Marnus Labuschagne also picked up two wickets later in the game, which included the prized scalp of Chris Green to cap a remarkable all-round performance for himself.

Batting at number three, Queensland captain Marnus Labuschagne belted six boundaries and a six in his regal 101-run knock at Cricket Central in Sydney to notch up his sixth List A century, and his third in four innings of the ongoing Australian Domestic One-Day Cup 2025 season itself.
Demonstrating his batting excellence across both, List A and first-class cricket ever since getting dropped from the national side after the home ODIs against South Africa back in August, Labuschagne has also plundered two red-ball centuries against Tasmania and South Australia in the 2025-26 Sheffield Shield season.
In short, the 31-year-old cricket and 2023 World Cup winner has racked up 679 runs in eight innings of both Sheffield Shield and One-Day Cup 2025 seasons at a prolific average of nearly 85 since getting axed from the Australian team.
Marnus Labuschagne’s recent high-volume run with the bat will surely put him on good faith with the Australian selectors ahead of the upcoming 2025-26 home Ashes Test series.
The Ashes series is set to launch from November 21 onwards with the series opener at the Optus Stadium in Perth. The series will also constitute a part of the 2025-27 WTC cycle.
