On Friday, April 11, CSK registered a new low as the Men in Yellow suffered an embarrassing defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk Stadium. Notably, the Men in Yellow, batting first, registered their lowest total at Chepauk Stadium as they tumbled for just 103 runs.

It was a poor show by the MS Dhoni-led side, and they went on to script several unwanted records. Meanwhile, this article will shed light on three embarrassing records scripted by CSK.

1. Five Defeats In A Row

For the unversed, it is the first time in history that CSK have suffered five straight defeats in IPL. Notably, the Men in Yellow started the campaign on a strong note and won the opening match against MI.

However, things went downhill since then as CSK lost five consecutive matches. The previous worst defeat streak for CSK was in 2010 when they lost four defeats in a row.

Previously, they lost two consecutive matches at the Chepauk Stadium, but it was for the first time that they suffered their third defeat.

Notably, KKR chased down the total in 10.1 overs and they beat MI's record of handing the worst defeat to CSK (12 overs).
