Hassan Eisakhil, son of legendary Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi, mounted 143 of his team’s 235-run total in match number nine of the Merwais Nika Regional 3-Day Trophy 2025 season. Opening the innings for Amo Region, Eisakhil faced 189 deliveries in the innings and belted 23 of them for boundaries and another one for a huge six at the Helmand Cricket Ground in Lashkar Gah.

The innings marked his maiden century in red-ball cricket, as the Amo Region managed to draw the all-important match against Band-e-Amir Region.

Son of Mohammad Nabi smashes remarkable ton

Teenage batting sensation and Mohammad Nabi’s son Hassan Eisakhil top-scored for the Amo Region with 143 runs from just 189 balls with 23 boundaries and a six against Band-e-Amir Region in match nine of the Merwais Nika Regional 3-Day Trophy 2025 season.

Eisakhil’s ton elevated the Amo Region total to 235 runs from nearly 70 overs, with none of the other batters, barring Abuzar Safi’s 44, managing to breach the 20-run mark in the innings. Having gained a 76-run lead at the halfway stage of the match, the Amo Region set a 312-run target for the Band-e-Amir Region.

Despite’s Mohibullah Hamraz fighting 108 in the run-chase, the Band-e-Amir Region managed to accrue 286-9 from 48 overs to fall just 26 runs short of their target. For Amo Region, Lalbaz Sinzai (5-65) and Azim Zadran (3-77) picked up eight wickets between them as the match ended in a thrilling draw on Day 3.
