In a stern jibe, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh advised Pakistani fans to stop dreaming about the likelihood of Pakistan players featuring in the IPL after fan edits featuring Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi in IPL jerseys went viral on social media.

A fan edit presumably structured by Pakistani cricket fans has garnered tons of attention on social media networking sites.

The edits feature Pakistan's former captain, Babar Azam, batting alongside Indian stalwart Virat Kohli in an RCB jersey. They also contain morphed images of Mohammad Rizwan in a CSK jersey and Shaheen Afridi in a Mumbai Indians kit.

The edit was meant to highlight the alleged dreams of many Indian and Pakistani cricket fans to witness the two nations' players teaming up in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

However, as soon as the video reached Harbhajan Singh, he shut down the idea with a brutal yet hilarious take.

The former Indian spinner quoted the post to share that no Indian fan has such a wild dream of allowing Pakistani players to feature in the IPL. Not only that, the former cricketer advised Pakistani fans to stop dreaming and wake up to reality.

Pakistan nationality players are banned from IPL due to estranged political relations between India and Pakistan. The two team's encounters on the cricket field are reduced to only ICC events as the Indian government strongly opposes the idea of holding bilateral series amid boiling political tensions.

While the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) came up with its own franchise league, Pakistan Super League (PSL), to compete with IPL, the former has failed to garner enough views and attention due to a lack of significant monetary investments.

IPL is now touted as the world's biggest franchise league event, while on the flip side, PSL is getting sidelined amid emerging leagues around the world.
