India clinched the fourth T20I against Australia by 48 runs to take a commanding 3-1 lead in the series. After being put in to bat, India posted 167/8 in 20 overs, with Shubman Gill (46), Abhishek Sharma (28), and Axar Patel’s quickfire 21* guiding them to a strong total. Nathan Ellis and Adam Zampa shared three wickets each for Australia. 

In reply, Australia faltered to 119 all out in 18.2 overs as Washington Sundar’s stunning spell of 3/3 in 1.2 overs dismantled the lower order. Axar Patel (2/20) and Shivam Dube (2/20) also made key breakthroughs, while Jasprit Bumrah grabbed his 99th T20I wicket. Despite skipper Mitchell Marsh’s 30 and Matthew Short’s 25, Australia never recovered from regular strikes. India’s all-round bowling effort sealed another convincing win ahead of the final T20I.
